BLUE PLANET WATER FEATURES ANNOUNCES THE ADDITION OF
AQUASCAPE’S RAINXCHANGE™ SYSTEM TO INSTALLATION SERVICES

Edmonton, AB – Blue Planet Water Features are proud to announce the addition of Aquascape’s RainXchange™ System to its water features products and installation services. The newly launched RainXchange™ System was created by Aquascape, Inc. of St. Charles, Illinois for capturing, filtering, and re-using rainwater. The RainXchange™ System combines a recirculating decorative water feature with a sub-surface rainwater harvest storage system.

Ed Beaulieu, Chief Sustainability Officer for Aquascape, was instrumental in developing the prototype rainwater harvesting system. “Traditional methods of harvesting rainwater do not add beauty or value to a home or office setting. We’ve created a filtration system used in conjunction with a decorative water feature that captures, filters and houses rainwater run-off for future use,” states Beaulieu. The system also reduces flooding, which is typical when heavy rains follow a period of drought.

Beta testing for the RainXchange™ System was conducted in key areas across the country before being introduced to the market. The system debuted at both the Epcot® International Flower & Garden Show and at the Chicagoland Flower & Garden Show with an overwhelming response. The first residential system was installed and tested earlier last year by Aquascape and a team of Certified Aquascape Contractors (CAC) in drought-stricken Grantville, Georgia.

Adds Beaulieu, “We expect our rainwater harvest and filtration system to alleviate watering restriction challenges faced by homeowners. The stored water can be easily accessed for watering lawns and gardens without placing demand on municipal water systems.” The Aquascape RainXchange™ System is now available from Blue Planet Water Features.
